Kopehdagh Mountain
This mountain is a part of Hezarmasjed Mountains located northeast of Northern Khorassan Province. Although this mountain range is a part of Alborz Mountain Range, but it forms an independent formation. Kopehdagh Mountains, that form border mountains between Northern Khorassan Province and Turkmenistan Republic, are situated among Balkhan Mountain Range in this republic. The summit of this mountain is 2,929 meters high and Shirindarreh and Khartoot rivers originate from it ending to Atrak River.

Koorkhod Mountains
This east to west mountain range is located in extreme west of North Khorassan Province. The length of the mountain is about 75 kilometers with 7 kilometers width. The summit of this mountain is 2,819 meters located 36 kilometers southwest of Ashkhaneh Township. Kastan, Shah-Abad, Gorgan and Koorkoli rivers originate from this mountain and some villages are located on the eastern skirts of it. Binalood and Aladaq Mountains
These mountain ranges are the continuation of the Alborz Mountain Range. The Aladaq running 170 km. at a stretch, lies between the Koorkhod Mountains to the west, and Binalood Range to the east. From the north the Aladaq Range is limited by the Atrak Valley and to the south it stretches out towards Esfarayen and Jajrum.

Forests, North Khorassan
There are pistachio forests found in abundance in the province of Khorassan which are known as follows: The pistachio forest of Khajeh Sarakhs , Baqs, Baqe Kashmir , and those of Rahim Abad, Fariman , Saleh Abad, Dareh-ye-Torkaman and many others.
Atrak Valley, Shirvan
It is in this valley that the Atrak River with the length of 600 km flows and is one of the most beautiful and greenest spots of the region and therefore enhances the attraction for visitors.
