Important tombs of the province are Hessam-ol-Dolle Tomb, Khajeh Khezr Mazar Gol all in Birjand with nice and beautiful architecture and ornaments. There is also an old graveyard namely Bajad in Birjand with historical tombstones and nice buildings.
Other castles of the Province
Other important castles of the province are Foorag, Hose Gholam Kesh casle and Kas Hassan Sabah all in Birjand.
Rostam Castle-Khosf
This castle is located in the southeast of Khosf on the top of a hill overlooking Mazhan Plain. Since it is located on an inaccessible place, it is less damaged compared with other castles. There are 6 halls in the castle with nice architecture. Although the entrances to these halls are closed, the halls are relatively intact.
This ancient castle dates back to Parthian time and it is said that the ancient city on Neh had been there. There are some earthenware objects in the castle similar to Parthian ones from shape and color point of view. Moreover, there are some earthenware objects in the castle belonging to Safavid time indicative of being used till that period.
Other schools of the province are Ayati School and Masoumieh school.
Ebne Hessam Khosfi School-Khosf
This school is also located in the historical texture of the city founded by Late Molla Ali Khosfi. It has a central yard with nice brick-work.
Shokatieh School-Birjand
This school is one of historical buildings of the city with an area of 3,178 constructed in 1313 AH. In 1326 AH it was used as the first primary school and today it is located inside the old texture of the city. It has 2 entrances with special Iranian and local architecture. There are fine and nice ornaments and decoration inside the buiding like plaster-work, paintings etc. Presently it is used as mourning place.

There are several historical areas I n which different historical vestiges are available as well as fossils. These historical areas are Rawkan in Birjand, Kaal Jangal in Birjand Lakh Mazar in Birjand and Tankol Ostad. Moreover, there are some archeological hills with remains and vestiges dating back to Sassanide time like Takchar-Abad, Abbas-Abad and Mood in Birjand and Tahkandook in Sarbisheh..

Other old houses of the Province are Hossein Jaffar House, Rafii and Alavi Houses in Khosf.
Pordeli House-Birjand
It is one of the beautiful houses of Birjand dates back to Qajar time. Its façade is decorated very nice based on local architecture techniques as well as those Azerbaijan.
Arasteh House-Birjand
This house was also constructed in Qajar time located in the old part of the city. The portal is decorated by nice plaster-work withArasteh House-Birjand beautiful ornaments and two platforms for sitting and taking rest.
Shokat-Abad Garden and Edifice-Birjand
Covering an area of 8.5 hectares, it is located in 10 k.m. east of Birjand on the road to Zahedan. The edifice has been built in southern and eastern parts of the garden as resident of governor and his family as well as administration ans ceremonial hall. Paeen Amirabad Garden
It is located in Khan Kalateh Village 6 kilometers west of Birjand. The owner of this village, Hessam-ol-dolleh, constructed two edifices in this garden that is presently under repair by Cultural Herritage Office.
Mood Castle and Garden-Birjand
This building has an area of 60,270 square meters in 40 k.m. east of Birjand. There is a long wall with 20 round towers. Moreover, a 10 meter ditch surrounds it for defense purpose. The main entrance of the garden is in northern part with two towers and 2 small rooms for guards.
This garden is located in a village with the same name.
Akbarieh Garden and Edifice-Birjand
This aggregate was central nucleolus of Akbarieh Village in the Past. It was constructed as a multi-purpose complex as governmental and residential. Some parts of this building belonged to Alam family. The central part was used for governmental and administration activities. There are different parts in this aggregate like portal, edifice, stable, bath, wine house, administration section, ceremony hall, pool and… This aggregate, covering an area of 45,069 Square meters, is constructed east to west and is presently used as library and College of Art.
