Chenshet Cave-Birjand PDF Print E-mail

 This cave is located 80 k.m. far from Birjand and southwest to it is a village called Chenshet. As valid historical documents indicate, this cave was discovered about 6 centuries back by Seyed Mohammed Moshasha. The length of the cave is 59 meters with wide width and height in some points. According to some vestiges, this cave has been used as shelter by some people. These vestiges are human skeleton, earthenware objects and spinning wheel. There is another cave close to this one known as Chehel Chah Cave and was used as shelter.
