Bagheran Mountain Range extends from northwest to southeast with 100 k.m. length and 13 k.m. width and 2,595 meters high.

This place is the most important mountainous recreational areas of the province 8 kilometers far from Birjand dates back to Qajar time. The area of this lake is about 3 hectares and is made of some materials like brick, stone, mortar and limestone with brick façade. This weir is charged by rainfall and water is used for agricultural activities.
This Protected Area is located southeast of Birjand and is a part of Sarbisheh Township with different species of flora and fauna with specific natural characteristics and eco-tourism potentials.

Locating in southwest of Birjand, this Protected area is one of the forest and beautiful areas of the region with verdant vegetation including herbal medicine. There live some wildlife like jackal, wolf, fox wild sheep, wild goat and several species of birds.
