Abolvafa (Gonbad) Mausoleum, Koohdasht

This Mausoleum is located 25 km. west of Koohdasht, on the skirts of the Bareh Kazem mountains. The inhabitants of this area follow the Dervish principles. This tomb is that of 'Abol Vafa', one of the seven disciples of the Dervish 'Soltan Isaq' (A descendent of Imam Moosa Kazem, the 7th Imam of the Shiite sect). Abol Vafa, the leader of Dervish sect, lived at the end of the 7th or the beginning of the 8th century AH.

This mosque is also known as the Shah mosque, and is a remnant of the Qajar period . The courtyard of the mosque is 61 x 47 sq. m. which has a pool in the center. The mosque has three large entrances. The northern entrance has an arched ceiling, adorned with plaster and tile works.

This mosque was constructed in the year 970 AH. under the orders of Shah Parvar Soltan. In the year 1110 AH. the mosque was repaired by the orders of Shah Soltan Hossain Safavid. This historical 'decree' is presently in the Dej or castle of Shahpour Khast. Fifty years ago, due to road construction, a part of this ancient mosque was destroyed.

Borujerd Jame' Mosque, Borujerd

 According to an inscription, this mosque was constructed in the year 1068 AH. The mosque is located to the east of the city of Borujerd. The entrance door of the mosque was built in the year 1092 AH. under the command of Soltan Mohammad. In the year 1209 AH. Taqi Khan Razani was responsible for the construction of the top of two minarets called 'gol-dasteh'.
